Workday Essential｜ Other Products ｜Roland SRE-555 Chorus Echo

The ultimate incarnation of Roland’s RE tape echo series, an SRE-555 Chorus Echo for sale in excellent working order and sounding fantastic.
We're tape and disc echo specialists and always have a good selection of vintage echo machines. Check out our tape echo page and stock list, but if you don't see what you are after then please get in touch. Increasingly machines like this are sold before they are serviced and do get listed.
Roland Space and Chorus Echoes are amazing machines - and this is their ultimate development in tape echoes - quieter than the others - but with the multi-head echo combinations, spring reverb, superb Roland chorus and Sound On Sound. It is a Chorus Echo RE-501 in a rack case - we don't see them very often and they are always quick to be snapped up.
This one sounds great and works superbly. It's in very good condition and has just had a full service with our tape echo specialist with various new parts as required; including new tape. Ready to give reliable service. Heads in excellent condition.
Price includes VAT at 20% (for sales in UK/EU) - buyers outside the EU please contact us for tax-free prices. VAT-free sales possible to businesses and individuals in the EU (outside the UK) with a valid VAT Number.
CONDITION:

Comes complete with the rack drawer. Condition of this unit is very good with some signs of age/use - a few dings and scratches to the face, some rack wear on the top of the unit and wear to the handles. Click on the photos to zoom in and see more detail.
VOLTAGE:

It is a 100v Japanese model and will run fine on North American mains 115/120v without a transformer (we run all our tests using 120v power); however, a step-down transformer is recommended for extended use.
A step-down transformer is required in the UK/EU.
We do not recommend using cheap generic Chinese mains transformers and can supply a high quality UK-made unit if required.

SERVICED & GUARANTEED:
One of the reasons our tape echoes are in such demand is due to the full service and set up to Roland factory spec that we do as standard. Our echo specialist has more than 20 years experience working on these machines, including touring with top artists. Your Roland will come to you in top operating condition following a full treatment with various new parts as required, including new tape. After that it will have been further tested by us, sent back to the engineer for a tweak if necessary and soak-tested over a period of days. Superb sound and reliability come as standard, and that's another reason our machines move so quickly: unlike many vintage tape echoes out there, ours are guaranteed.
There are currently no operational issues with this machine, but please be aware that these units require looking after and that regular use and maintenance are key to keeping this in good working order.
We can also supply replacement instructions for all Roland echoes and tried and tested replacement Roland tape loops.
