Third studio album from Seattle's Fleet Foxes. Crack-Up comes six years after the band's acclaimed sophomore release, Helplessness Blues. Robin Pecknold and co. return with an album that is more experimental, orchestral and expansive than either of their two previous releases. It's a massive sound that builds on the sound they established on their first release. While the sound has grown, Pecknold's lyrics have turned inward, reflecting on how the outside world has failed to live up to his expectations. It's complex music that is inviting in its density and exuberance. Eleven tracks in all. Released by Nonesuch on double vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with a printed insert and a digital download.
